Lostock:
That Registration & Eligibility rule 7 (a), (c) & (d) be replaced as shown:
7. (a) In multi-team clubs, players should be selected in order of ability. Lower ranked players shall not play above higher ranked players. If it appears that a lower team has been artificially strengthened, the Administrative Committee may score sets in the lower team's match 6-0.
c) If a team does not have a match for any reason, a player cannot play for the team immediately below if they have played two or more league matches for the higher teams than they have played for the team below. If a club has broken this rule, the same criteria will then be applied to all its lower teams playing in that fixture week.
(d) In the second half of the season a player who has played half or more of their league matches for the higher team cannot play for the lower team if that leaves the higher team weakened or short of players
A team shall consist of 3 couples except in the junior league where it will consist of 2 couples.
Teams shall be selected in order of playing ability so that the best 3 couples form the first team, the next best 3 couples the second team, and so on through all the teams within a club at the discretion of the club’s selection committee.
For each week of the scheduled fixtures during the season a club must select players for all its teams as if all the teams were fulfilling fixtures on the same evening. Thus, if in a given week a higher team(s) does not have a scheduled fixture, lower teams must not be strengthened by players who would normally have played for the team(s) without a fixture.
If it appears that a lower team has been artificially strengthened, the Administrative Committee may score sets in the lower team’s match 6-0.
